So identifying the factors related to that is very important. The purpose of this study was to investigate the moderating role of social support in the relationships between work-family conflict and marital adjustment of married female nurses. Materials and methods: In this descriptive–correlation study, the population was all married female nurses employed by teaching hospitals in Bojnord (n = 340). 200 were selected using stratified sampling. Participants were measured by using marital adjustment, work-family conflict and social support questionnaires. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient and hierarchical regression analysis by SPSS-22 software Results: Findings indicate that correlation coefficients between work family conflict (r = -0.228), family work conflict (r = -0.441) and social support (r = 0.554) with marital adjustment were significant (P <0.001). Also, the interaction of work family conflict and social support, beyond the effects of the main variables, created 1.1% of the increased variance (ΔR2=0.011, ΔF= 3.58, p< 0.05) and the interaction of family work conflict and social support, beyond the effects of the main variables, created 1.8% of the increased variance (ΔR2=0.018, ΔF= 5.95, p< 0.015) for the model. Conclusion: The results showed the importance social support as the moderator the relationship between work-family conflicts and marital adjustment among the female nurses.
